So, you’ve seen all the new recipes in the Kitch Storm, but you’re probably wondering: which ones are actually worth your time? Are you trying to farm rewards fast, or cook the most valuable meal possible?
I’ve spent the time testing them all. This isn’t just about ingredients; it’s about strategy. Here’s my tier list for the best food to cook in Grow a Garden.

SS-Tier (The Myth)
- Jandel Salad: Let’s get this one out of the way. The Jandel Salad is pure myth. Its ingredients are admin-only, so think of it as a fun piece of game lore, not something you can actually cook.
S-Tier Recipes
- Soup: I know this looks weird, but trust me. Soup is S-Tier for one reason: strategy. It costs one carrot. That’s it. You can mass-produce it for almost nothing. When the pig finally craves Soup, you can turn in dozens at once for a massive flood of easy rewards. For pure farming efficiency, nothing beats it.
- Sweet Tea & Porridge: These are the opposite of Soup. They are your endgame, “show-off” recipes. Both are made with some of the rarest ingredients in the game and produce exclusively Transcendent and Prismatic results. You cook these when you’re hunting for the grand prizes.
A-Tier Recipes
- Candy Apple, Cake, Pizza, Smoothie, Sushi, Ice Cream: This group is the backbone of high-end cooking. They all have multiple powerful Prismatic and Transcendent versions, making them your primary way of converting a great harvest of rare plants into a top-quality meal and a shot at the best rewards.
B-Tier Recipes
- Hot Dog, Sandwich, Burger: These are your reliable workhorses. They all have excellent high-tier versions, but their base recipes are generally a bit easier to make than the A-Tier meals. These are the foods you’ll be cooking consistently through the mid-to-late event grind.
C-Tier Recipes
- Pie & Waffle: These are good, flexible recipes with a wide range of quality tiers. They get the job done, but their best versions are often outclassed by the more specialized recipes in the tiers above. They’re solid, but not spectacular.
D-Tier Recipes
- Salad & Donut: These are your entry-level meals. Their main purpose is to be a simple and cheap option to cook when the pig has a craving and you need something easy. They have better versions, but you won’t focus your farming efforts on them.
Understanding the Tiers
This list ranks recipes based on their real-world use in the game.
- SS-Tier (The Myth): Legendary recipes that are more lore than reality.
- S-Tier (Game Changers): The absolute best for either hyper-efficient farming or getting the best possible rewards.
- A-Tier (The Powerhouses): Excellent recipes that turn your rarest ingredients into top-tier meals.
- B-Tier (The Workhorses): Solid, reliable meals you’ll be cooking often during the event.
- C-Tier (Situational Picks): Decent options, but usually outclassed by the tiers above.
- D-Tier (The Basics): Simple recipes for when you just need to fulfill a craving quickly.
