How to Get the Maneki-neko Pet in Grow a Garden

The Maneki-neko is the most common reward from the Kitsune Chest, with a high 35% drop chance. You will likely get several of these while hunting for the rarer rewards in the chest.

Maneki-neko’s Ability Explained (How to Use It)

The Maneki-neko’s skill is all about timing. Every 2 minutes and 21 seconds, it will begin to wave its paw. This activates a very short 11-second window where you have an 8.47% chance that any fruit you sell will be returned to your inventory after you receive the money for it.

To use this effectively, do not sell your valuable fruits randomly. Wait until you see your Maneki-neko start its waving animation, then quickly go to the shop and sell as much as you can within that 11-second window. The effects of multiple Maneki-neko pets can stack, so having a few of them waving at the same time can greatly increase your chances of a refund.

Keep in mind, the description notes that rarer fruits have a lower chance of being refunded, so it might be easier to duplicate common fruits than a prized Bone Blossom.

What is the Maneki-neko Pet in Grow a Garden?

The Maneki-neko is a new Uncommon pet based on the famous Japanese ‘beckoning cat’ statue, a symbol of good luck. In Grow a Garden, it brings this luck to your finances by giving you a chance to essentially duplicate the fruits you sell, making it a potentially powerful money-making tool if you master its timing.
