This is your up-to-date list for every working glitch in Grow a Garden. I’ll keep this page updated constantly, moving glitches to the ‘Patched’ section as soon as the developers fix them.

Grow a Garden Active Glitches
These are the glitches that are confirmed to be working in the game right now. Use them quickly before they get patched!
The “Infinite” Culinarian Chest Farming Method
This is currently the fastest known method to farm Culinarian Chests in the Cooking Event. It exploits the fact that the new Rat Connoisseur NPC doesn’t care about the size or quality of the food you give himβonly that it has a mutation.
The Core Strategy The goal is to create the fastest-cooking mutated meal possible. By cooking five small, cheap, mutated fruits, you can create a mutated soup with only a 5-6 minute cook time. Since the rat’s rewards are all equal chance, this gives you a shot at a Culinarian Chest every few minutes, creating a nearly infinite farming loop.
How to Get Unlimited Mutated Fruit (Two Best Methods)
Here are the two best ways to generate a massive amount of cheap, mutated fruit for this method.
Method A: The Tanchozuru + Tomato Farm
- You’ll Need: A massive, dense field of Tomato plants and as many Tanchozuru pets as you can place.
- How it Works: The Tanchozuru pets will use their area-of-effect ability to apply the Tranquil mutation to your huge field of tomatoes. This gives you a massive supply of mutated fruit to use for cooking.
Method B: The Kodama + Zen Flare Farm
- You’ll Need: A massive field of Zen Flares (or other cheap, multi-harvest Zen plants) and as many regular Kodama pets as possible.
- How it Works: The Kodama pets’ passive ability has a chance to apply the Tranquil mutation to the Zen Flares as you harvest them. This provides a different, but equally effective, way to generate your mutated cooking ingredients.
The Farming Loop (Step-by-Step)
- Generate Mutations: Use one of the two pet methods above to harvest at least 5 small, mutated fruits (e.g., Tranquil Tomatoes).
- Cook the Soup: Go to the Cooking Pot and cook the 5 mutated fruits together.
- Turn In: Once the 5-6 minute cook time is up, give the mutated soup to the Rat Connoisseur.
- Claim Reward: Choose your reward from the three options. If you’re farming for the new pets and seeds, always pick the Culinarian Chest.
- Repeat: While one soup is cooking, go back to your farm to harvest more mutated fruits so you are immediately ready for the next cycle.
The “Infinite” Zen Egg Farming Method
This is a hyper-optimized farming strategy that lets you earn Zen Eggs (which contain the regular Kitsune) non-stop, without ever having to wait for your plants to regrow.
What You’ll Need:
- Pets: As many regular Kodama pets as you can get (the YouTuber uses 8 for a ~50% chance).
- Plants: A massive amount of multi-harvest Zen-type plants. The best ones for this method are Zen Flares, Serenity Bushes, and Sakura Bushes.
The Method (Step-by-Step):
- Setup Your Garden: Fill your entire garden plot with hundreds of the recommended plants (Zen Flares are a great choice). The more plants you have, the better this loop works.
- Activate Your Kodamas: Place all of your regular Kodama pets in your garden. Their passive ability is the key to this method.
- Harvest a Full Inventory: Begin at one end of your garden and collect fruits until your backpack is completely full.
- Turn In & Sell Fast: Immediately go to the event NPC and turn in all the Tranquil fruits your Kodamas generated. Then, quickly sell any leftover non-tranquil fruits to clear your inventory.
- Repeat Immediately: Go straight back to your garden and continue harvesting where you left off. If you have enough plants, the first ones you picked will have already regrown by the time you complete a full circle, creating a seamless and infinite farming loop.
Pro-Tip: If your plants aren’t regrowing fast enough to create an infinite loop, you simply don’t have enough of them yet. In that case, just take a 2-3 minute break between each cycle while you continue buying and planting more Zen Flares from the shop.
The “Gamebreaking” Grandmaster Sprinkler Method
This new method uses the incredibly powerful Grandmaster Sprinkler to create what might be the fastest plant regrowth and mutation farm in the game.
What You’ll Need:
- The Key Item: 1x Grandmaster Sprinkler (a very rare item from the shop, sometimes available for Robux).
- The Boosters: Multiple Advanced Sprinklers (the more you have, the better).
- Your Best Plants: High-value seeds like Candy Blossoms or Bone Blossoms.
The Method (Step-by-Step):
- Clear a Space: Harvest a large area in your garden to prepare.
- Place the Grandmaster: Place your Grandmaster Sprinkler in the center of the cleared area. It has a huge range and lasts for 10 minutes.
- Stack the Sprinklers: This is the secret to the method. Place as many Advanced Sprinklers as you can so their effects overlap with the Grandmaster Sprinkler. You are stacking the “growth speed” and “mutation chance” bonuses to an extreme degree.
- Plant & Farm: Plant your best seeds within the overlapping sprinkler areas. You will notice that your plants grow back almost instantly after you harvest them, and they will gain valuable mutations like Gold and Rainbow much more frequently.
Pro-Tip: The key insight here is that the Advanced Sprinkler specifically boosts growth speed and mutation chance, but not fruit size. By stacking it with the Grandmaster Sprinkler (which boosts everything), you are creating the ultimate combination for speed and valuable mutations, allowing you to harvest continuously.
The 15-Second Pet Cooldown Glitch (Pet Treat Method)
This is currently the most powerful glitch in the game. It uses a specific trick with Pet Treats to reduce any pet’s ability cooldown to just 15 seconds, letting you spam their powers for insane gains.
What You’ll Need:
- Nihonzaru (Monkey) Pet(s): You can get them from the Zen Egg. Having at least one is required, but two is highly recommended.
- Hot Spring Cosmetic(s): One for each Monkey you use, available in the Zen Shop.
- A Pet Treat: The Small Pet Treat works perfectly for this.
- Your Target Pet: This glitch works best on the Mimic Octopus so you can copy any ability you want.
The Steps:
- Place your Hot Springs in your garden, followed by the single pet you want to glitch (your target pet).
- Give your target pet a Pet Treat. A timer will now be active for that pet. Take note of how long this timer is (e.g., 30 minutes, 1 hour).
- Now, place down your Nihonzaru (Monkey) pets.
- Leave the game immediately.
- Wait for the full duration of the treat’s timer to expire before you log back in. If the treat lasts for 1 hour, you must wait at least 1 hour before rejoining. Do not log in early to check the timer, as this will break the glitch.
- Rejoin the game after the time has passed, and the 15-second cooldown should be active on your pet!
Important Notes:
- This exploit will almost certainly be patched very quickly. Use it while it lasts.
- You must use a Pet Treat for this method. A Pet Toy will not work for this specific process.
- Using the Mimic Octopus is the best strategy, as it allows you to use any pet’s ability on a 15-second cooldown.
- Trading the glitched pet will likely reset its cooldown back to normal.
Patched Glitches
These glitches used to work but have been fixed by the developers. They no longer function in the game.
